The OHRRPGCE Top 30
Summer of 2008
Bonus List:
Top 5 Best Contest Games

Here we have the Top 30 OHR Games, returning for the summer season. The only major change to operation this time is that voters were able to choose 15 games instead of the usual 10. This has resulted in, in my opinion, a more interesting list. I'm also pleased to see several new entries to the Top 30. This season, I have begun listing dates of latest update along with authors. (If you see any incorrect information, please inform me!) Without further ado, enjoy the list.

Biggest climb: Sword of Jade: Parallel Dreams
Biggest drop: Spellshard: The Black Crown of Horgoth

Still one of the best OHR RPGs around. The colorful characters far outshine the bad graphics, and the mind-twist at the end still impresses me. - Pepsi Ranger

"A hell of a way to introduce the OHR. It will inspire newbies for ages." - Calehay

"This game seems to be getting better and better, and Fenrir still appears to be updating it. Perhaps it can reach the #1 spot in the future?" - JSH357

JSH357 - OHR House 3: On the Plantation (2008)

"I was disappointed how familiar it was starting to feel when Episode 1 released, but JSH turned that around rather quickly with the Chaos Nyte/White Mage subplot and the clever story arc started in Episode 3. It's definitely cool again." - Pepsi Ranger

"This is the first time an OHR House has made it on my tops list. This season has already surpassed the others. I can't wait to see what JSH will come up with next." - Moogle1

JSH357 - Thanksgiving Quest (2004)

"I was surprised when I finished this game that it turned out as well as it did. There are rough edges, and one has to suspend abusing the system to make the game true to its intent, but it's still pretty entertaining nonetheless. Not bad for a month's work." - JSH357

Surlaw - Walthrus: Return of the Crystals (2004)

"This game can stand on its own without the serious original. The original makes it better, but the jokes are strong enough to get a laugh from players anyway. As it stands, I still like it more than the original, though an update/remake of the original could change that. " - Pepsi Ranger

Orchard-L - Boundless Ocean (2005)

"This game is ART, but the playing mechanics degrade into what is functionally little more than a grind-fest of biblical proportions. Despite this flaw, the experience is enjoyable, and the entire game's atmosphere is better experienced than described." - Fenrir-Lunaris

RedMaverickZero - OHR House: Heroes (2008)

"It's not often a spinoff can garner as much anticipation as its original series, but this one sure fights for it. The running gag with the monster infestations adds to the story, giving the heroes something to attack when they're not battling with drama." - Pepsi Ranger

"I haven't been hyped up by one of RMZ's games as much as this one. Each installment is amazing to watch, full of sound and color, making humorous fun WITH OHR classics instead of AT them. This is how parody should be done, and the result is a blast." - Fenrir-Lunaris
